Abstract | ||
The purpose of present study was the survey of the relationship between parental raring and social and non social behavior in preschool children`s play. The sample included 100 children aged from 3 to 6 from Shiraz preschool centers that selected through random cluster sampling method. The research instruments were the parental modernity inventory ( Schaefer & Edgerton, 1985) and the preschool play behavior scale ( Coplan & Rabin, 1998). The results showed parents` progressive beliefs significantly predicted reticent behavior, solitary-active behavior, social play and rough play. Also parents` authoritarian beliefs significantly predicted children`s reticent behavior. Also parents` rearing style significantly was different for girls and boys. | ||
